Lenten Study :: Adam Hamilton's book "John - the Gospel of Light and Life." Six discussion sessions starting the week of February 8 (day and time TBD by those participating). Hardcover book: $13 donation. Let me know asap if you are interested, so I can be sure to have enough books when we begin. One chapter each week, with DVD segment, Bible study, prayer, discussion.

Food Bank Help Needed

The local Food Bank in Kinsman distributes food the third Tuesday of each month to those in need in our community. 

Volunteers are needed to help pack bags to be given out

starting at noon. If you are able to volunteer

for this important mission, please contact Kim Bonar.

GOOD DIEHL: At last week’s Howland girls basketball [award ceremony] John Diehl was granted the OHSAA Sportsmanship, Ethics, and Integrity Award.
      According to the OHSAA, “Individuals selected should reflect the values of sportsmanship, ethics and integrity through all of their professional responsibilities and should be a role model for others.”
      In 22 years as the girls’ coach at Howland, Diehl has compiled a 341-166 record. The Tigers have reached the district finals eight times in that span, winning four. Prior to Howland, Diehl coached Bristol’s boys; team and amassed 107 victories. In 1994, the Panthers reached the D-IV state tournament.
      Diehl has over 25 coaching awards and is the only coach in state history to coach in both the boys and girls North-South game.
